Privacy Policy

Last updated September 29, 2026

This policy describes how TalKazt collects, uses, and protects your information — including the voice recordings that are central to the platform.

1. Overview

TalKazt ("we", "us", "our") operates an audio-first platform for live conversations, where listeners submit short recorded voice questions that hosts may preview and play to a live audience. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By creating an account or using TalKazt, you agree to the collection and use of information described in this policy.

2. Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your email address, name, and authentication details when you register, including via a third-party sign-in provider such as Google.
  • Profile information — the display name, handle, bio, links, images, and categories you choose to add to a creator profile.
  • Audio content — voice questions you record, audio posts, voice replies, and audio you publish or broadcast on TalKazt.
  • Usage information — the pages you visit, sessions you join, features you use, and device and browser information such as IP address and approximate location.
  • Transaction information — records of Boosts, subscriptions, refunds, and payouts. Payment card details are handled by our payment provider and are not stored on our servers.

3. Audio recordings and voice data

Audio is central to TalKazt, so it is worth being explicit about it. When you record a voice question, we store the audio file privately so that the host can preview it. A question is only played to a live audience if the host chooses to play it.

Live sessions may be recorded to produce replays. Where a session is recorded, participants are informed, and the resulting replay may be made available on the platform.

We do not use your voice recordings to train third-party models, and we do not sell your audio content.

4. How we use your information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the platform and its features.
  • Deliver live audio sessions, process voice questions, and generate replays.
  • Process payments, subscriptions, Boosts, refunds, and creator payouts.
  • Personalize content, recommendations, and your feed.
  • Communicate with you about your account, transactions, and product updates.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms of Service.
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our agreements.

5. Sharing and disclosure

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in the following circumstances:

  • With service providers who help us operate the platform, including cloud hosting, audio infrastructure, analytics, and payment processing partners, under contracts that limit their use of your data.
  • With other users, when you choose to make content public — for example, a voice question that a host plays during a live session, or a post you publish to the feed.
  • For legal reasons, when we believe disclosure is necessary to comply with the law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and security of TalKazt and its users.
  • In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will notify you of any change in ownership or use of your information.

6. Payment information

Boosts, subscriptions, and payouts are processed by our third-party payment provider. We receive limited information such as a transaction identifier, amount, status, and the last four digits of a card, but we never receive or store your full payment card number.

Creator payouts require you to connect a payout account with our payment provider, which is subject to that provider's own terms and privacy policy.

7. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Recordings, replays, and question audio are retained according to our retention settings and your choices as a host.

When you delete your account, we delete or anonymize your personal information and associated audio content, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.

8. Your rights and choices

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate information, including through the profile and account settings in the app.
  • Delete your account and associated content.
  • Object to or restrict certain processing, and opt out of marketing communications.
  • Request a portable copy of your information.

9. Children's privacy

TalKazt is intended for people aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we learn that we have collected information from a person under 18, we will take steps to delete it.

10. Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption of data in transit and access controls on stored audio. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you through the app or by email and update the "last updated" date above. Your continued use of TalKazt after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

12. Contact us

If you have questions about this Privacy Policy or how your information is handled, contact us through the Contact page in the app.

TalKazt uses cookies and local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. See our Privacy Policy.
